Uniqueness of signed measures solving the continuity equation for Osgood vector fields

چکیده
Nonnegative measure-valued solutions of the continuity equation are uniquely determined by their initial condition, if the characteristic ODE associated to the velocity field has a unique solution. In this paper we give a partial extension of this result to signed measurevalued solutions, under a quantitative two-sided Osgood condition on the velocity field. Our results extend those obtained for log-Lipschitz vector fields in [6].

A uniqueness result for the continuity equation in two dimensions
We characterize the autonomous, divergence-free vector fields b on the plane such that the Cauchy problem for the continuity equation ∂tu + div (bu) = 0 admits a unique bounded solution (in the weak sense) for every bounded initial datum; the characterization is given in terms of a property of Sard type for the potential f associated to b. As a corollary we obtain uniqueness under the assumptio...

متن کاملLagrangian Flows and the One Dimensional Peano Phenomenon for Odes
We consider the one dimensional ordinary differential equation with a vector field which is merely continuous and nonnegative, and satisfying a condition on the amount of zeros. Although it is classically known that this problem lacks uniqueness of classical trajectories, we show that there is uniqueness for the so-called regular Lagrangian flow (the by now usual notion of flow in nonsmooth sit...
متن کاملApplication of iterative method for solving fuzzy Bernoulli equation under generalized H-differentiability
In this paper, the Picard method is proposed to solve the Bernoulli equation with fuzzy initial condition under generalized H-differentiability. The existence and uniqueness of the solution and convergence of the proposed method are proved in details. Finally an example shows the accuracy of this method.
متن کاملHigh Frequency Magnetic Fields in Treatment of Osgood-Schlatter Disease
We are studied efficacy of high frequency magnetic fields (HFMFs) in treatment of Osgood-Schlatter disease (OSD) including X-rays signs. THELF system apparatus has been used for treatments on 32 young sportsmen (9-15 years). 18 boys and 14 girls, with HFMFs (base frequency 27.125 MHz, with different impulse repetition frequency of 640 Hz and 320 Hz, and absorbed power 3-5 VA). Injured sportsmen...
